Do I get credit card rewards on BigBasket if I pay by UPI?
Not always. On BigBasket, Cashback+ Kotak, Tata Neu Infinity, PhonePe SBI Black and IndianOil HDFC earn less, or nothing, when you pay through UPI (including a RuPay credit card on UPI). To get the full reward, pay with the card itself in the BigBasket checkout.
- Cashback+ Kotak: Earns less when paid through UPI; Online orders only; 5% food, grocery and movie spends share one ₹750 limit each statement, then nothing; RuPay card paid by UPI earns 0.5%
- Tata Neu Infinity: Earns less when paid through UPI; Tata partner brand; card payments only, not UPI or EMI (those earn 1.5% or less)
- PhonePe SBI Black: Earns nothing when paid through UPI; When paid online or in the app by card; UPI payments outside the PhonePe app earn nothing; at most 1,000 points (₹1,000) a month
- IndianOil HDFC: Earns less when paid through UPI; 5% in Fuel Points on groceries, on the first ₹2,000 a month, then nothing; pay by card, not UPI
