HOW WE CHECK RATES

How Pickkard works out the best card

Every number on Pickkard comes from the same reward engine the Pickkard app uses. Here is what it counts, where the numbers come from and what we don’t do.

What “reward” means

Reward is the value you get back as a share of what you pay. For cashback it is the cashback. For points, miles or coins it is what they are worth when used the way the bank shows first (named under “Rewards paid as” on each card’s page). Using them another way can be worth more or less; card pages list the other options.

Limits and minimum orders

A minimum order means the rate applies only to payments of at least that amount. A limit is the most a card pays at that rate in a period; above it the card earns its lower base rate. Rankings use the headline rate, and the limit is always shown next to it.

Where the numbers come from

“Bank’s own terms” means the rate is stated on the bank’s or the co-brand partner’s own pages or documents. “Cardholder reports” means only other sources support it, so we label it as reported, not guaranteed. Each page shows the date the rates were checked. The current data is as of 28 October 2026.

Special cases

IRCTC adds about 1.18% when you pay by credit card; the reward we show for IRCTC is what is left after that fee. Amazon Pay ICICI earns more for Amazon Prime members, and we show both. Offers with an end date are marked. Cards the bank no longer issues are labelled, because they only help people who already have them.

What we don’t do

Pickkard isn’t a bank and isn’t connected to any bank, card network or shopping app. Banks don’t pay us to rank their cards, and we don’t use referral links on these pages. We never promise a reward: banks change their terms several times a year, so check the bank’s page before you apply.
